I just returned from a great day of teaching orthodontic residents at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. What a great privilege it is to spend a day with the inquisitive, young minds of those gifted residents. Working in the UOP clinic with Dr. Pitts and Dr. Frost is a thrill. The results of the Damon System really do speak for themselves, and watching the residents as they provide great treatment to their patients keeps me excited about this wonderful profession.
Okay, here goes! Life with Twitter has just begun. I can’t imagine how a short burst of no more than 140 characters can be meaningful, but I willing to give it a try. What I certainly WILL do is make it fun for my patients and staff. I can already see it now… “first twit to come by the office and say the magic word gets a movie pass”. Lots of fun.
I had a wonderful opportunity to lecture to a great group of motivated doctors in Atlanta this weekend. The thrill for me was lecturing with Dr. Dwight Damon, the creator and innovator behind the Damon system. Dwight is one in a million, and an amazingly giving individual. He, Dr. Tom Pitts of Reno, Nevada and Dr. Stuart Frost of Mesa, Arizona have been such a tremendous influence on me as an orthodontist. They always drive me to persue excellence in treating my patients, and for them I am most grateful.
